With the start of the new school year, Luya International School implemented the "Thrive Together" back-to-school social emotional learning (SEL) program from August 25th to August 27th. Through a variety of activities and worksheets, it helps middle and high school students grow in the three aspects of awareness, connection, and community, and jointly build a safe, respectful, and caring school culture.

The "Thrive Together" series of teaching materials includes M&M Topics(Easy and fun ice-breaking game),Middle School Student Packet(worksheets focusing on self-exploration and peer interaction), and High School Student Packet(Discussion activities that emphasize responsibility, respect, and future dreams.) Students not only share their personal interests and experiences during these activities, but also learn how to listen, respect, and resolve conflicts through games, discussions, and teamwork.

“We hope that students will not only acquire knowledge but also find a sense of belonging at school and learn how to build genuine connections with others,” the principal said. “These activities will help students quickly familiarize themselves with the new school year, develop their confidence, and thrive in an environment of respect and care.”

During class, students will get to know each other through the "BINGO" game, discuss classroom agreements through "Class Agreements," and boldly express their dreams for the future through "My Hopes & Dreams for the Future." These activities not only enhance interpersonal interaction but also encourage self-reflection and foster positive learning motivation.

Luya International Middle School hopes that the "Thrive Together" program will continue to promote mutual trust and cooperation between teachers and students in the new school year, so that every student can find their own place in a warm, supportive and inspiring atmosphere and thrive together.
