Luya International School actively promotes the "Learning Beyond Classroom (LBC)" curriculum. Through a series of international cooperation and cross-cultural learning activities, it allows students to apply their English skills and subject knowledge in real-life situations, cultivating cross-cultural understanding and global action capabilities.

Applying Cross-Cultural Communication

This academic year, LBC offers a rich and diverse curriculum, including a peace education program in partnership with the Lung Ying-tai Cultural Foundation. Through high school drama performances and middle school digital tools, students will be guided to reflect on global peace issues. In December, a teacher and student exchange program will be held at Beaulieu High School in France. Through boarding and classroom collaboration, students will experience cross-border learning and cultural integration.

Arts and humanities expand international horizons

Students will participate in international art exchanges such as the Berlin Philharmonic Concert in Germany, the Swedish cultural promotion event "Pippi Longstocking", and the Florence Dance Art Festival in Italy, inspiring appreciation and understanding of diverse cultures through music, literature, and dance.

Online collaboration to discuss global issues

Through language exchange with Highgate School in the UK and an international SDGs forum co-hosted with Vasaskolan High School in Sweden, students will discuss sustainable development issues, learn to express their views in English, and apply their subject knowledge to real-world problem-solving. Students will also participate in the International Model United Nations (MUN) and International Youth Career Sharing to enhance their research, debate, and decision-making skills.

Technological innovation and experiential learning

LBC also offers a special program on AI collaborative robots, allowing students to operate intelligent robots and integrate math, science, and technology into innovative projects. During summer and winter vacations, IB school relocation programs allow students to experience the IB school curriculum in France, Switzerland, or the United States, immersing themselves in an international learning environment.

Holistic education cultivates global citizens

Activities such as the Summer Filmmaking Camp, MYP Interdisciplinary Projects and DP CAS Leadership Training help students unleash their creativity, care about society, and translate their learning outcomes into concrete actions, thus practicing the spirit of “learning to apply”.

"The LBC program isn't just about learning English; it's about using English to learn about and connect with the world," the school said. "We hope every lure fishing student will become a global citizen with a global perspective, cross-cultural understanding, and the ability to act."
