LUYA International High School welcomed 31 students and 3 teachers from Lycée Beaulieu, France, from December 15–18, 2026, for a four-day international education and cultural exchange program. The visit strengthened cross-cultural understanding and fostered collaboration on sustainability and global issues.

During the first day, the delegation joined a Taiwan–France cultural welcome ceremony and attended classes in STEAM, Science, Music, and Inquiry & Research. LUYA students also led an interactive session introducing Taiwanese music and literature.

A key highlight was the delegation’s participation in the 2025 International High School Student Summit, featuring Swedish expert John Block. Students from both countries collaborated in workshops on nature-based solutions, ecological garden design, and presented SDG-aligned proposals for future sustainable cities.

The group also visited Daxi Old Street and Shimen Dam, exploring Taoyuan’s local history and environment. A friendship-themed handicraft workshop further deepened cultural ties.

Several French students stayed with LUYA host families, experiencing authentic Taiwanese daily life—an experience many described as the most memorable part of their visit.

Principal Hui-Chen Chiang emphasized that this exchange marks the beginning of long-term collaboration between the two schools, including future student exchanges and joint sustainability projects.
